Employee of the Month – September 2023

Vikor is proud to highlight one of our most professional, efficient and personable employees, Cynthia Sweeney, as September’s Employee of the Month. Cynthia, Communications Specialist in Vikor’s Missing Information Department, has a great work ethic and always puts in extra effort to get the job done right. She is reliable, trustworthy, and a great asset for the company. We appreciate everything she does for our team!

Meg Johns, Communication Manager, accolades Cynthia by saying, “Cynthia is the perfect candidate for employee of the month. Above everything, Cynthia is dependable. She knows her job and does it successfully day in and day out. Cynthia has helped us navigate our new fax system, Updox, and she makes sure that every fax gets to the right person or department. Cynthia is a great team member, supporting and encouraging all of her colleagues. Our missing info team appreciates Cynthia so much. She sets us all up for success. Cynthia always looks to the positive and makes each day brighter.”

Cynthia responds to winning the award by saying:

“This award is such a blessing and a surprise! I have been with Vikor for three years and I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing team. Every day I strive to be reliable, flexible, and dependable in every way. I am so grateful for my teammates and for being selected as EOTM!”

We are honored to award one of Vikor’s best as Employee of the Month this July. Alison is an invaluable part of Vikor’s Rejections Team, and we do not have enough words to say how grateful we are for her integrity, work ethic, and easy-going nature.

Mary Katherine DiFilippo, Director of Specimen Analytics, praises Alison’s work ethic by saying, “She always works with diligence and dedication towards patient care. Alison strives to be the best teammate possible and even offers to assist on her days off.” Laura Lesburg, Rejections Manager, emphasizes Alison’s kindness and efficiency by saying, “Alison makes the people she works with better and leads by example. She is our sunshine.”

We are very grateful for Alison’s dedication to Vikor and the Rejections Team. Alison responds to winning this award and shares her experience at Vikor by saying:

“I am honored and surprised to be recognized as Employee of the Month by my peers and managers. Vikor has helped me grow as an individual, and I genuinely enjoy being a part of a company that is so supportive. It is rewarding to have such fun and wonderful colleagues to work with as a part of the Rejections Team. I am truly thankful to be part of a team that works so well together and that continually strives to learn and grow.”

Vikor’s long time employee, Dina Whitney, is awarded May’s Employee of the Month award. Dina has been with Vikor since 2019, serving first as a medical assistant and more recently as Communications Project Manager. Her colleagues note that she has worked nights and weekends making sure all tasks are complete. Louanne Newton, Director of Communications, accolades Dina, “She handles most of the special projects for our team and is amazing with insurance. She investigates and resolves issues that seem impossible.” It is rare to witness the dedication and loyalty to a company that we have seen in Dina Whitney and we are proud to highlight her.

In Dina’s own words:

“It was a big surprise and a great honor to be chosen as Employee of the Month. I love working for Vikor and most recently have had the privilege to join the Missing Information Team and work under Louanne Newton. She has believed in me and challenged me. I hope to continue to give my all to Vikor and my team and to continue to prove myself as an asset to the company.

We are excited to announce Phil Constantin as Vikor’s March Employee of the Month. Phil has consistently displayed a strong work ethic since he joined Vikor in March 2020. He goes above and beyond to ensure his department functions smoothly and is always willing to take on any task he is assigned. We are grateful to have him on the team and excited that Phil has earned this award.

Phil responds to winning the award in his own words:

“As the latest recipient of the EOM award, I would like to thank my colleagues who nominated and voted for me. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a strong team who understands the mission and supports one another in accomplishing our goals. No matter how big or small the responsibility, we all play a part in the company’s success and to be recognized for my contributions is humbling. We are fortunate to work in a place where effort does not go unnoticed.”

Catherine Miller, a key member of our Reconciliation Team, is a true asset to Vikor. She excels in accuracy and providing excellent client and patient care. And it shows in her work. Caroline Altman, Accessioning Manager, describes Catherine as “adaptable, proactive, and deeply caring about her peers and fellow employees.” It is our honor to highlight such an impactful team member as Employee of the Month (January 2023).

Catherine is perhaps best known for building community and camaraderie within the Recon department and Vikor at large. Matthew Privette, Reconciliation Team Lead, emphasizes her kindness by saying, “Catherine cares deeply about her coworkers and will go above and beyond to help anyone that asks. She has been a member of the Recon Team the longest; she is always there to support us, whether with her expertise or by providing emotional support chocolate.”

Catherine’s teammates can all agree that she is not only a shining star administratively but also creatively. She illuminates Vikor with her baking skills, sense of style, decorative flair and overall joyous presence.

“I am honored to be recognized as January’s Employee of the Month. It means so much to work for a company that values its employees not only on a professional level but also on a personal one. Vikor has been supportive of me through some very trying and difficult times, and I appreciate it more than I could ever express. A huge THANK YOU to my managers and teammates who have helped me grow and develop. I love being part of the Reconciliation team; it truly feels like we are a family. The genuine friendships that I have built at Vikor are priceless. I look forward to seeing what the future holds!”
