Kristy Wielgus always displays a strong work ethic, but November was an unusually busy month and she persevered while showing no signs of stress, angst or aggravation. For this, we commend her! And we are honored to shine light on Kristy as Vikor’s Employee of the Month (November 2022).

Charleston Office

This quarter in particular, Kristy has gone far above and beyond preparing financial reports and meeting tight deadlines. She has worked above and beyond to meet deadlines and never once do her coworkers hear her complain. Kristy takes it upon herself to complete projects thoroughly.

In Kristy’s own words:

“I am extremely honored to be recognized by my coworkers and management. It has been an amazing experience assisting in Vikor’s growth through all of the changes. Employee of the Month – October 2022

Courtney Chandler is an incredibly valuable member of Vikor’s Reconciliation Team. Courtney is dependable, works hard, and makes herself available to help other teammates whenever she is needed. She has a solid knowledge of our procedures and it is evident in her work. We are proud to announce Courtney Chandler as Employee of the Month, October 2022.

Courtney’s managers, Mary Katherine DiFilippo and Caroline Altman, expand on her skill set, credibility and good attitude. “She is such a valued team member for both accessioning and reconciliation teams,” Mary Katherine emphasizes. “Her contribution is unmatched, and she is always willing to go above and beyond!” Caroline Altman accolades Courtney’s team spirit, “She is the type of person to give rides for coworkers, coach fellow teammates to success, and quickly address high-priority issues while maintaining a good attitude and friendly disposition.” All of us here at Vikor will agree that are very lucky to have her.

Kelli Sartin, Operational Buyer, is sunshine and sincerity and we are proud to announce her as Employee of the Month (September 2022). Kelli is willing to assist and go far beyond to help teammates succeed across many different departments. Vikor is excited to highlight one of our best as Kelli strives to learn, grow and serve.

Kelli’s manager, Kelly Damiano, responds to the award by saying, “Kelli took on a new position as Operational Buyer and has gone above and beyond to be successful in her new role. She consistently shows kindness, professionalism and is always friendly and helpful!”

Laura Lesburg’s efforts and hard work have not gone unnoticed, as her Vikor peers recognize Laura as Employee of the Month, August 2022. She is an exceptional teammate, as well as an exceptional manager. Words to describe Laura by colleagues include, “kind, funny, dedicated, trustworthy, i.e.” Laura’s Manager, Mary Katherine DiFilippo responds by saying, “The valuable insight Laura has provided helps grow and push our team’s objective forward. I truly appreciate what Laura brings to the table and how she always exceeds my expectations.”

Vikor’s culture encourages big picture solutions, attention to detail and pursuit of service. Angel Peralta on Vikor’s Accessioning Team is a model employee, winning July’s Employee of the Month award. Caroline Altman, Accessioning Manager, describes Angel as “consistently thinking outside the box while striving to make a positive impact to both Vikor and our clients.” Angel’s teammates accolade his kind spirit and willingness to help everyone around him, staying late or arriving early to do so.

Angel’s mentor and manager, Mary Katherine DiFilippo, Director of Specimen Analytics, accolades Angel in many ways, particularly his work ethic, “Angel’s work ethic and attention to detail are unmatched. The integrity he shows towards the job, and the respect he has for his teammates is phenomenal. Angel is always willing to help the team succeed while meeting the company’s goals. Accessioning and Specimen Processing are very fortunate to have him apart of the KOR team.”

Angel shares his gratitude for winning the Employee of the Month award by saying,

“Working here at Vikor is one my life’s greatest opportunities and I am extremely grateful for everyone that I’ve met here. Employee of the Month – June 2022

Jackie DeAngelis is known at Vikor as our “Superstar”, and we are proud to award her as June’s Employee of the Month. A member of the Customer Service team since 2020, Jackie “continually goes above and beyond in assisting our customers and sales representatives with a great attitude,” says Tony DiSilvio, Director of Customer Service. Vikor is a better place because of Jackie and her willingness to be a team player.

My time at Vikor has been enjoyable and I am appreciative to be part of an amazing Customer Service team. Vikor highlights one our best and brightest as May’s Employee of the Month. Will Jones’s work ethic and ingenuity have been invaluable to the Rejections and Specimen Processing teams, especially the last several months. Rejections Manager, Laura Leesburg, praises Will by saying, “Will’s positive attitude and calm demeanor are always grounding, even during the most stressful work days. We are so grateful that he has chosen to be part of the Vikor workspace.”

Employee of the Month – April 2022

We are pleased to announced Anthony Cole as Employee of the Month, April 2022. Anthony has recently been working to improve business insight via new reporting and dashboards in Quickbase. Voting ballots noted Anthony as “always willing to help others, always looking for creative solutions and always assisting teammates across other departments on various projects.” A hard and dedicated worker, he goes the extra mile to do excellent work, without complaint or a harsh word. Vikor is proud to highlight Anthony Cole, an ultimate professional consistently eager to problem solve and help his teammates succeed. As one teammate simply yet emphatically noted, “He’s. The. Best.”

Santosh Bonala goes above and beyond on a daily basis to support his colleagues here at Vikor. Santosh’s peers voted him Employee of the Month in March, based on his willingness to work long hours (even holidays), kind spirit and commitment to excellence. One of our best Laboratory Technicians, Santosh is the first to help a teammate with questions, the last to leave the lab to ensure quality and precision. Vikor could not be more excited to highlight Santosh as Employee of the Month.

“I am so thrilled to receive the Employee of the Month award. There is no greater honor than knowing my co-workers acknowledged and voted for me. I appreciate my teammates so much and want you to know that you brighten my days.

I began my journey with Vikor about a year and a half ago as a remote employee and have been encouraged, taught, and supported every step of the way. As I moved into a leadership position, I was cheered and guided by mentors, such as Louanne Newton and Dina Whitney. Although I have not met everyone at Vikor face to face, technology seamlessly keeps us all connected on a daily basis.

I have found true professional fulfillment at Vikor and cannot think of being anywhere else. I am so excited for the future with Vikor, a company I respect and believe in with a full heart.”
